1 Hour SAFE CE MD – Maryland Law – State Law

Summary

This course satisfies the state-specific continuing education requirement for Maryland Licensed Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs). During this 1 hour course, we will provide an overview of the laws and regulations the Maryland Mortgage Professional must know and abide by.

The course is divided into four sections:

Section 1:  License Maintenance - This section will familiarize the Mortgage Loan Originator with the requirements for renewal and maintenance of their Mortgage Loan Originator license.


Section 2:  Disciplinary Action - When this section is complete the Mortgage Loan Originator what will cause disciplinary actions to come into play and what those actions are.


Section 3:  Maryland Finder’s Fee Law - This section will cover what Maryland Finder’s Fee Law is, and how is applies to origination of mortgage loans in Maryland.


Section 4 :  Maryland Equal Credit Opportunity Act - When this section is completed the Mortgage Loan Originator will be familiar with Maryland law regarding discrimination and the consequences of that law.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course you will have a basic understanding of what is required in Maryland as it pertains to the mortgage industry.  Changes to the law will be covered to update you to ensure compliance with the Laws.
